Inbound Service Summary
eFax Corporate's network infrastructure comprises over 55 points-of-presence (POPs) worldwide, interconnected by a system of private, high bandwidth data connections. The POP's are typically co-located in carrier locations distributed across more than 35 countries spanning 5 continents around the world, and are maintained, monitored, and administered to ensure reliability and continuity. Each POP has diversified connections to the eFax network for redundancy. All POP's have redundant power supplies and storage systems. Through these locations, eFax Corporate offers a variety of services that collectively make up the fast growing areas of secure, electronic document delivery and unified messaging and communications.
eFax Corporate's patented inbound service offers corporate customers the ability to receive both faxes and voice messages into their email in-boxes. Each subscriber is issued a unique local or toll-free telephone number selected by the account administrator in one of more than 2,000+ cities worldwide covered by the eFax network. Certain account configuration settings are modifiable by the corporate user, while others are controlled by the account administrator.
When someone calls the user's eFax Corporate number, they will hear a menu asking the caller to select the type of message they are leaving or fax tones, depending on whether or not the user has enabled voice mail for their account. Once the fax or voice message is received, eFax Corporate forwards it directly as an email to the email addresses assigned to the account in a standard format, determined by account configuration. The message is delivered to the corporate customer as an attachment that can be viewed, annotated, printed, or heard using eFax Corporate's client software (j2 Messenger) or industry standard software, depending on the format configured by the account owner. Messages are not stored on eFax Corporate's platforms.
