Our Advanced Secure Faxing Process
Transport Layer Security (TLS)
SMTP over SSL is a secure SSL protocol established between mail servers capable of receiving and sending TLS encrypted messages. This protocol already exists on most Exchange servers and requires little development time. It is simpler to establish and less expensive than a comparable VPN solution TLS is an extension of the SMTP service that allows an SMTP server and client to use transport-layer security to provide private, authenticated communication over the Internet. This gives a company, the ability to protect some or all of its communications from eavesdroppers and attackers without dedicating IT resources of time.
eFax Secure
Each time the user receives a new fax, they receive an email notification that contains a link to direct them to their secure inbox. Once users signed in using their eFax number and password, they may download or view their faxes.
Virtual Private Network Solutions (VPN)
The Virtual Private Network ("VPN") solution provides transmission encryption of data as well as bi-directional secure faxing via an encrypted tunnel. In other words, the VPN solution provides the security benefits of having our fax services in your own network behind your firewalls. This is accomplished by providing an encrypted tunnel so traffic between our servers and your network is completely obscured while it is on the public internet. An additional level of security involves encrypting not only the data, but also the originating and receiving network addresses. eFax Corporate will work with each valued customer to understand what type of VPN would best suits their needs. Below are few configurations supported by eFax Corporate:
